Mrs Eleni Neocleous
Eleni Neocleous is an Administrative Officer at the Ministry of Interior in Cyprus.
She holds an LLB Honours and an LLM in International Criminal Law, both awarded by Sussex University, UK. Following her Legal Training at the Law Office of the Republic, she successfully completed the Cyprus Bar Association Exams.
Eleni has professional experience at the Secretariat of Parliamentary Committees and International Relations at the House of Parliament and the Office of the Commissioner for Administration and Human Rights. The major phase of her public service is at the Ministry of Interior in the field of Migration, Asylum and European Affairs where she had the opportunity to engage herself in numerous trainings, conferences and participations in the EU Commission and the EU Council.
Eleni is a PhD Student at the University of Central Lancashire and does research in relation to “The rights of migrants in distress at sea in International Human Rights Law and the European Union’s responsibility to international protection – A new insight to irregular migration”.
