COURSE “SAVOIR VIVRE”

COURSE

“SAVOIR VIVRE”

Delivered by Mrs Anna-Maria Rosina Eftychiou

ABOUT THE COURSE

The jobs market is becoming ever more competitive. The days when only a very small percentage of the population went to university are gone, almost certainly for good. Today, many graduate with a good degree in something. So, what is it that makes you special? Those who wish to secure the best and most highly paid jobs in the early 21st century with good career prospects are required to conduct themselves in the proper way and have correct manners. Whether you are attending a dinner party / reception, conference / seminar or job interview you are in public and being observed (by others). Being properly attired, knowing how to stand / sit, conduct oneself in conversation, etc., can make the difference as to whether a person of significance is impressed by you and, perhaps, gives you their card or decides to hire you. During this 8-week course you will be taught the importance of such things as: dress and personal appearance; carriage and deportment; the art of conversation; how to ‘dine and wine’, speak and write (in both a formal and non-formal setting); of matters concerning punctuality, showing respect to others and time management; and, even, how to react when things go wrong. There remains a very fine margin between success and failure. Better, surely, to command the utmost respect, your company to be much sought after and for you, thus, to excel in all that you do!
