Creativity is the tendency to generate or recognize ideas, alternatives, or possibilities that may be useful in solving problems, communicating with others, and entertaining ourselves and others. Creativity is the pillar for the creation and running of innovative businesses. Prof Juan Jimenez will share his knowledge and experiences on innovative thinking and creative problem solving and help students understand how to generate and manage creative ideas to develop the skills they will need to become the innovators of tomorrow.
Professor Juan Jiménez Moreno holds the position of Professor of Business & Management at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM-Spain). He is also a Visiting Professor in a number of other Spanish, European and Latin America Universities. He holds a Degree in Business Economics from the University of Murcia (1984), Spain and a PhD in Business Economics from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain (1991). Prof. Jiménez is a member of several research and expert groups in the fields of Entrepreneurship and Family Business, such as the SITEFB (Strategy, Innovation, Technology, Entrepreneurship and Family Business) of the UCLM, Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), GESt-study: Start-Up Behavior and Entrepreneurship Motivation of Students, and INCREA (Innovation, Creativity and Learning). Furthermore, he is an editorial board member of the journals ‘Administrative Sciences’ and ‘Iberian Management & Economics Frontiers’. His research interests focus on entrepreneurship, family business, creativity, and innovation. He has worked in several national and European Union research projects.
