A Drama Workshop was held with great success at UCLan Cyprus’s campus in Larnaka on the 10th of March. The Workshop’s title was ‘Shakespeare through play: Active approaches to understanding Shakespeare.’
Students from public and private schools in Cyprus attended the event. During the two-hour workshop the participants explored Shakespearean works of literature through dramatic conventions and active games. Dr Nandia Tomasidou made Shakespeare accessible to students by dramatising scenes from the plays, playing with the language and engaging in contextualised games.
UCLan Cyprus will continue to provide students with such learning activities that give them the opportunity to learn more about Linguistics and Literature.
