On Friday, 10 December 2021, UCLan Cyprus students of MBA and BA (Hons) Business Administration, accompanied by the Course Leaders of Accounting and Finance, Dr Isabella Karasamani, and Distance Learning MBA, Dr Anthi Avloniti, as well as Dr Eva Karayianni, Lecturer in Business, visited Leroy Merlin, one of the most successful, responsible and fastest evolving retailing businesses in Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa.

The students attended an insightful presentation on the company’s operations, logistics, processes, systems and facilities delivered by the senior management team, including Mrs Loucia Vasileiadou, Marketing and Communications Manager and Mr Dimitris Katopodis , Store Director. Further, students had the opportunity to engage in a Q&A regarding the scope of operations and logistics and the degree of integration of core business processes and activities achieved via the recent update and implementation of a comprehensive ERP system.

At the Business & Management School, UCLan Cyprus, we organize an annual cycle of educational business field trips for our students. In particular, we are interested in visiting financial institutions and organisations, manufacturing industries, operations research institutes and logistics centres, both in Cyprus and overseas.
