Erasmus+ Connect Diverse Project: Third Partners’ Meeting in Prešov
UCLan Cyprus recently participated in the third partners’ meeting of the Erasmus+ project ConnectDiverse between the 24th and 25th of March 2026, hosted by the University of Prešov (UNIPO) in Prešov, Slovakia. The meeting brought together project partners from the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business (Poland), UCLan Cyprus, Riga Technical University (Latvia), the University of Prešov (Slovakia), and the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania).
The meeting marked an important stage in the implementation of ConnectDiverse, as partners focused on the finalisation of the manuals and workshop materials for academic teachers, as well as for university authorities and administrative staff. These resources are central to the project’s goal of helping higher education institutions become more open to neurodiversity and better prepared to support neuroatypical students.
Discussions in Prešov focused on the transition from development to implementation. Partners reviewed preparations for the testing phase, during which the initially developed materials will be piloted with the project’s main target groups, including university authorities, administrative staff and academic teachers. This stage is essential for gathering feedback, improving the quality of the materials, and preparing the final versions of the project results.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for academic exchange, discussion of practical experience, and knowledge-sharing among the partner universities. In line with the project’s cooperation model, such meetings support the development of high-quality outputs while also encouraging the exchange of good practices related to inclusion and support for neuroatypical students in higher education.
In addition to the work on manuals and testing preparations, partners discussed dissemination and communication activities across the consortium.
The third partners’ meeting in Prešov therefore served as both a working session and a coordination point for the next phase of the project. For UCLan Cyprus, participation in this meeting reinforced its active role in the development, refinement, and future testing of project outputs designed to help universities create more inclusive and supportive environments for neuroatypical students.
As ConnectDiverse moves forward, the work carried out in Prešov helps ensure that the project’s results are not only research-informed, but also practical, collaborative and ready to be tested in real university settings across Europe.
