Excellent Impressions from the Minister of Education and Culture, Mr Costas Cadis during his visit at UCLan Cyprus Campus
The Cyprus Minister of Education and Culture, Mr. Costas Kadis visited the premises of UCLan Cyprus on Thursday 2nd October 2014 as part of his tour in Larnaka city and district. The Minister was welcomed by the Rector of the University, Dr Melinda Tan, the founding partners, Mr Floros Voniatis and George Hassapis, the Heads of Schools and other staff members. Mr. Kadis had the opportunity to take a tour of the University and to see the state-of-the-art facilities including the Computing labs, Moot Court Room and Auditoriums. He also attended a presentation of the University courses.
During his brief speech Mr Costas Kadis relayed his impressions: “It is with great pleasure that I visited the premises of UCLan Cyprus. My impressions are excellent, a very innovative infrastructure, which supports students during their studies. UCLan Cyprus is a vivid example of an institution which contributes to the development of Cyprus becoming a centre of higher education in the wider region. We have agreed to work together to achieve mutually beneficial goals such as the attraction of international students and the continuous development of quality in higher education in our country”.
