The School of Arts, Media and Communication of UCLan Cyprus proudly presents its first annual student exhibition titled “The Archive — 2025/26”, marking a significant milestone for the newly established School and its creative identity.

The exhibition, which will be open to the public, will take place on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, at 18:30, at the Former Residence of the Police Director, located in Salina Park, Larnaca.

The event offers a dynamic mapping of contemporary creative practice, showcasing works from the Media Production, Web Design & Development, Graphic Design, and Fashion Design programmes. Through a multi-layered approach, a wide range of creative outcomes is presented, reflecting the creativity, technical skills and theoretical thinking of the School’s students.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore graphic design applications such as posters, typographic compositions, and visual identity systems, as well as fashion collections that investigate the relationship between the body, material, cultural heritage, and contemporary social issues. At the same time, audiovisual works will be presented, including short films and creative videos focusing on storytelling, imagery, and experience.

Special emphasis is also placed on digital works and interactive applications, such as website designs and user experience projects, highlighting the importance of digital technology in contemporary creation. Through the use of digital media, visitors will be able to access extended content and discover the development process behind the works.

“The Archive — 2025/26” is not just a presentation of final outcomes, but a living archive of creativity, experimentation, and research. The exhibition highlights the interdisciplinary nature of the School of Arts, Media & Communication at UCLan Cyprus and the way different media and approaches coexist and interact, forming a contemporary creative ecosystem.

This inaugural event lays the foundations for an institution that aims to evolve annually, showcasing student work while strengthening the connection between the academic community, society, and the creative industry.

As noted by the Head of the School, Associate Professor Dr Christos Karpasitis, “The exhibition represents an initial documentation of the School’s creative potential, highlighting how our students combine different media and approaches within contemporary creative practice.”

The exhibition is open to the public and invites visitors to explore, interact, and discover the future of creative expression.
