UCLan Cyprus’ School of Science and the International CyberSecurity Institute, UK, are pleased to announce the provision of free educational seminars to the School’s students on the new European Data Protection Regulation.
Within the context of the MSc Cybersecurity programme, the School of Science of the British University of Cyprus, actively promotes collaboration with cyber security companies to provide students with state-of-the-art information and education in cybersecurity, enhancing students’ competitiveness in the market and/or enhancing their opportunities for progression at their existing employment.
The International CyberSecurity Institute, UK, in the context of the Memorandum of Understanding that has been established with UCLan Cyprus and its active support to the MSc Cybersecurity programme, has granted to the programme’s students free access to its distance learning course on the new European Data Protection Regulation, also known as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). The Regulation will enter into force in May 2018 and organizations that collect, process and use personal data are required to comply with the new regulation. Through the distance learning course offered by International CyberSecurity Institute, UK, students will understand the importance and necessity of protecting personal data, will be educated on the requirements of the regulation and will strengthen their knowledge, so that they can assist an organization to comply with the new regulation. Once students complete the course, International CyberSecurity Institute, UK will issue a GDPR Awareness Certificate to the students.

Η Σχολή Επιστημών του Πανεπιστημίου UCLan Cyprus και το International CyberSecurity Institute, UK, είναι στην ευχάριστη θέση να ανακοινώσουν την παροχή δωρεάν εκπαιδευτικών σεμιναρίων προς φοιτητές της Σχολής σχετικά με το νέο Κανονισμό για τη Προστασία των Δεδομένων.
Στα πλαίσια του Μεταπτυχιακού Προγράμματος στην Κυβερνοασφάλεια (MSc Cybersecurity), η Σχολή Επιστημών του Βρετανικού Πανεπιστημίου της Κύπρου, προωθεί ενεργά τη συνεργασία με εταιρείες που δραστηριοποιούνται στο τομέα της κυβερνοασφάλειας ώστε να προσφέρει στους φοιτητές ενημέρωση και εκπαίδευση σε τεχνολογίες αιχμής και σε άλλα συναφή θέματα κυβερνοασφάλειας, ενισχύοντας την ανταγωνιστικότητα των φοιτητών στην αγορά εργασίας ή και αναβάθμιση της υφιστάμενης εργασίας τους.
Το International CyberSecurity Institute, UK, στα πλαίσια του μνημονίου συνεργασίας με το πανεπιστήμιο UCLan Cyprus και της ενεργούς στήριξης της προς το Μεταπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα στην Κυβερνοασφάλεια, έχει παραχωρήσει στους φοιτητές του προγράμματος δωρεάν πρόσβαση στο εξ ‘αποστάσεως μάθημα που προσφέρει για ενημέρωση για το νέο Ευρωπαϊκό Κανονισμό για τη Προστασία των Δεδομένων, γνωστό και ως GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). Ο κανονισμός θα τεθεί σε εφαρμογή το Μάιο του 2018 και οι οργανισμοί οι οποίοι συλλέγουν, επεξεργάζονται και χρησιμοποιούν προσωπικά δεδομένα καλούνται να συμμορφωθούν με το νέο κανονισμό. Μέσα από το εξ ’αποστάσεως μάθημα που προσφέρει το International CyberSecurity Institute, UK, οι φοιτητές θα κατανοήσουν τη σημασία και την αναγκαιότητα της προστασίας των προσωπικών δεδομένων, θα ενημερωθούν για τις διατάξεις του κανονισμού και θα ενισχύσουν τις γνώσεις τους, έτσι ούτος ώστε να είναι σε θέση να βοηθήσουν έναν οργανισμό να συμμορφωθεί με τις απαιτήσεις του νέου κανονισμού. Το International CyberSecurity Institute, UK, θα εκδώσει στους φοιτητές πιστοποιητικό παρακολούθησης (GDPR Awareness Certificate).
