Invited speaker: Dr Petros Kimitris History Teacher at Pascal English School, Larnaka 

Summary: This seminar will present future directions in the field of Education.  The presentation – discussion will also explore Assessment for Learning (AfL) and how this educational approach can be implemented in the educational system of Cyprus.  Additionally,  the presentation will address students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and present techniques in improving their educational progress in class.    

Biography: Dr Petros Kimitris is the Head of Year 2 & 3 at Pascal Private English School Larnaca.  Prior to that, he was a History teacher at the same school and also a Greek language teacher for foreigners for the Ministry of Education and Culture.  He has completed a Ph.D. in the School of Education on Curriculum and Instruction and was also a part-time Associate Lecturer at UCLan in 2017.
