Hands-on learning in action: Students host coffee break for UCLan Cyprus
The School of Business and Management announces with a great pleasure that the BA (Hons) Hospitality and Tourism Management Year 2 students engaged with yet another opportunity for experiential learning through a simulation exercise that aimed at introducing them into the practice of food and beverage operations.
More specifically, on March 18th 2026, the students of the TL1032 Food and Beverage Operations module successfully organized a coffee break offered to UCLan Cyprus’s staff. This practical exercise offered the students an opportunity to both implement theoretical knowledge in real-life settings and get them prepared for their upcoming assignment for the module’s assessment. Students demonstrated a high level of professionalism and dedication to their field of study reassuring their academic tutors of their potential to become value adding professionals in the future.
Many special thanks are owed to the Food and Beverage industry experts Mr Nicos Magos and Mr Sotiris Georgiou for guiding the students through the specifics of the food and beverage operations.
