Intellectual Property and Open Data Emerging Trends and their Implications for Cyprus

The School of Law of UCLan Cyprus organises the Symposium Intellectual Property and Open Data: Emerging Trends and their Implications for Cyprus, on Tuesday, 25 February 2020, at 15:00, with the support of the Intellectual and Industrial Property Section, Department of Registrar of Companies and Official Receiver.

This symposium brings together experts on trademarks, domain name disputes, copyright, open source software and public domain documents to discuss emerging trends and how these trends will affect intellectual property in Cyprus.
The Symposium is keeping with the mission of UCLan Cyprus, which is to offer high quality education and training to its advanced students, the professions, the business sector, experts, decision-makers and the wider community.
Certificates of participation will be issued. This Symposium is designed for the continuous professional development (CPD) of all those in the public or private sectors who deal with intellectual property, open sources and data. Subject to the professional background of each such guest, participation may contribute to their formal or informal Continuing Professional Development (CPD), Personal Development (PD) or other self-managed learning and development needs.

UCLan Cyprus, through its School of Law, is a provider of CPD programmes for lawyers in Cyprus. In this regard, UCLan Cyprus is accredited by the Cyprus Bar Association.
Attendance is free.
