Wellbeing and mental health struggles can be described as anything that negatively affects one’s emotional, psychological, social well-being and everyday living conditions. At UCLan Cyprus, we care about your well-being, both at an academic and personal level. Understanding that University life can present unique challenges even to the most strong-minded, whilst witnessing an increasing number of University students facing such difficulties over the years, we are committed to help you prioritize mental health and self-care! Our goal is to ensure all students can flourish, achieve their full academic potential, and develop skills and strategies to support positive mental wellbeing as a life skill.

The UCLan Cyprus Psychological Wellbeing and Counselling Centre was established to provide professional services and support to UCLan Cyprus students. The services offered include individual psychological sessions, group therapies, psychometric assessments. Within a safe and caring environment, the Centre’s counsellors provide support to students who are dealing with academic and/or personal challenges; stress and anxiety; depression; grief etc.

The counselling services are available upon appointment. Students can arrange an appointment directly with the Psychological Wellbeing and Counselling Centre, by completing the e-form found on the Centre’s main page.

Disclosing a disability

The University is committed to providing the widest possible access to those individuals who seek to benefit from its educational activities and remove barriers to those with disabilities where possible.

Arranging appropriate individual disability support depends first of all on you disclosing your circumstances and needs. Supporting evidence of your circumstances / disability will be required before adjustments to suit your individual needs can be made. The Student Support Officers can advise you on the provision of disability-related evidence.

A first appointment will be arranged to assess of the student’s disability and during the second appointment the student will be informed about the provisions the University can offer. For more information, please email us on [email protected].

Mobility on UCLan Cyprus Campus

There are designated parking spots for disabled staff and students. Disabled individuals may enter the building using the ramps beside the car park and use the elevators when moving from one floor to the other. The lecture rooms and corridors are spacious and designed to accommodate for students with mobility and other disabilities.
