A Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) was signed on the 12th of October 2017, between UCLan Cyprus and Softline Computer Systems Ltd, at the Campus of the University in Larnaka. The purpose of the MoC is to provide the framework for the collaboration between UCLan Cyprus and Softline Computer Systems in the areas of teaching, research, software/platform development and applied experience.
In that respect, the broad objective of this collaboration is to enable the dissemination of high-end know-how and technology transfer to the members of both parties, so they can enhance their strategic position with regards to innovations in the areas of law and technology, through the interaction in core academic subjects, skills development and Zygos software training.
On behalf of UCLan Cyprus, the Memorandum was signed by the Rector, Professor Panikkos Poutziouris and on behalf of Softline Computer Systems, its Managing Director Mr Michael Chadziavraam. The two parties agreed to collaborate, among other areas, in the exchange of information, joint research and know-how transfer projects, the establishment of collaborative research proposals, student internships and projects.
During the signing of the Memorandum, both parties expressed their delight with this cooperation, which will assist to their mutual benefit towards their social and integrated growth, and to the better preparation of tomorrow’s professionals.

Μνημόνιο Συνεργασίας υπέγραψαν το Πανεπιστήμιο UCLan Cyprus και η εταιρία Softline Computer Systems Λτδ την Πέμπτη 12 Οκτωβρίου, στις εγκαταστάσεις του Πανεπιστημίου στην Λάρνακα. Σκοπός του Mνημονίου είναι να παρέχει το πλαίσιο για συνεργασία μεταξύ του Πανεπιστημίου UCLan Cyprus και της Softline Computer Systems στους τομείς της διδασκαλίας, της έρευνας, της ανάπτυξης λογισμικών και της εφαρμοσμένης εμπειρίας.
Ο γενικός στόχος της συνεργασίας είναι να διευκολύνει τη διάδοση τεχνογνωσίας υψηλής τεχνολογίας στα μέλη και των δύο μερών, ώστε να ενισχύσουν τη στρατηγική τους θέση όσον αφορά στις καινοτομίες στους τομείς της νομικής και της τεχνολογίας, μέσω της αλληλεπίδρασης σε βασικά ακαδημαϊκά θέματα, της ανάπτυξης δεξιοτήτων και της κατάρτισης του λογισμικού Zygos.
Εκ μέρους του Πανεπιστημίου UCLan Cyprus υπέγραψε ο Πρύτανης του Πανεπιστημίου, Καθηγητής Πανίκκος Πουτζιουρής, ενώ από πλευράς Softline Computer Systems υπέγραψε ο Διεθύνων Σύμβουλος της εταιρίας κος Μιχάλης Χατζηαβραάμ. Το Μνημόνιο περιλαμβάνει μεταξύ άλλων την ανταλλαγή πληροφοριών, κοινά προγράμματα έρευνας και τεχνογνωσίας, τη δημιουργία ερευνητικών προτάσεων, την προσφορά πρακτικής άσκησης και projects στους φοιτητές του Πανεπιστημίου.
Κατά την υπογραφή, και οι δύο πλευρές εξέφρασαν την ευχαρίστησή τους για αυτή τη συνεργασία, η οποία θα βοηθήσει προς αμοιβαίο όφελος των δύο μερών, την κοινωνική, και όχι μόνο, ολοκληρωμένη ανάπτυξη και την καλύτερη προετοιμασία των επαγγελματιών του αύριο.
