Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony between UCLan Cyprus and Curis Network

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between UCLan Cyprus and Curis Network on 31st October 2022.

The two parties agreed on a framework of collaboration for the development of joint activities of common interest, including, without limitation, exchange of information, organisation of joint events and seminars, curriculum enhancement, promotion of best practices, student internships, industry-led projects and research projects. On behalf of UCLan Cyprus, the MoU was signed by the Rector, Professor Irene Polycarpou, and on behalf of Cyprus Healthcare Group Ltd, by its CEO, Mr Andreas Savvides.

Professor Polycarpou emphasised the importance of this collaboration by stating the following: “UCLan Cyprus welcomes this initiative, as the Memorandum of Understanding with Curis Network will offer new opportunities for strengthening the cooperation of the two organisations in the fields of education, training, research and innovation as well as in other activities of mutual interest. “

Dr Vasiliki Christodoulou, Practicum Leader of the MSc in Forensic Psychology at UCLan Cyprus, also mentioned opportunities provided to students for enhancing their assessment and workshop design and delivery skills through this collaboration.

Curis Network, recognising the timeless need of communities and each person individually to improve their health, wellbeing and lifestyle, and the adoption of technology in our everyday lives, has grown to become an active and innovative health and wellbeing promoter, focused on the provision of physical and digital services supporting people and communities to optimise and enhance their health. Curis Network has developed a health and well-being ecosystem to encompass where people live, work and play. Through this collaboration, Curis Network contributes to the exposure of the university community to industry.

On the same note, UCLan Cyprus, a leading educational institution, offers individuals a unique opportunity to develop and enhance their knowledge and skills in different disciplines through its wide range of programmes. UCLan Cyprus is further committed to the development and application of social and wellbeing initiatives through its programmes, research projects and volunteering actions.

Towards this direction, the framework of this collaboration will establish a communication channel between the two parties, enabling the dissemination of high-end knowledge transfer to the members of both organisations and enhancing their strategic position regarding innovations in promoting positive changes in people’s lives.

Both parties expressed their delight in this cooperation.
