Module Aims
Aim 1
To enhance student awareness and understanding of the key contemporary issues facing Business, Organisations, Industries and Society across the range of disciplines and in the external environment, and to continue development of the student’s ability to appraise critically recent, new and future issues.To enable students to have an up-to-date knowledge of the major developments, threats and key ideas across the range of Business activities.To develop skills to enhance employability.
Module Content
Syllabus: Content will vary as the nature of business and in particular the environment in which it operates varies. Particular attention will be paid to current and evolving issues during the year. The UN Sustainable Development Goals will be addressed specifically.

Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module, a student will be able to:
Teaching Methods
A variety of teaching and learning methods will be utilised. These will include lectures, videos, case studies, group work, discussions and presentations. The emphasis will be on activity based learning using realistic materials in a practical context. This module will also encourage a collaborative learning environment that encourages students to learn with, and from, each other.

This module is assessed through two course works.
