Module Content
Students will develop productive (speaking and writing) and receptive skills (reading and listening) so as to be able to function effectively in an English speaking academic environment.
Grammar consolidation and vocabulary extension appropriate to moving on from B1 to B2 (CEFR) level are also included to enhance accuracy.
Students will also be encouraged to become independent language learners.

This module is delivered at international partners.
The combination of scheduled learning and teaching activities and guided independent study will ensure that students have access to a wide range of learning and teaching resources, both inside and outside the classroom, thereby helping them to achieve success on the module.
The assessment within the module maps on to the aforementioned Learning Outcomes, thereby enabling students to consolidate and develop linguistic competence commensurate with this level of working.
Assessment Methods
This module is assessed through a written assessment (60%) and a portfolio (40%).
