Teaching Methods
Projects are undertaken by students individually, each with an individual supervisor. Each project topic is agreed between student and supervisor at the beginning of the project. Topics may be constrained by the supervisor, especially if it is necessary to suit a student’s particular course title.
Project seminars are used for communicating common aspects of the project module e.g. assessment format and timescales.
A project handbook, delivered online using Blackboard, provides general guidance and defines the specific common requirements that project students must meet.
Students are expected to work largely independently with direction from their supervisors.
Assessment Methods
The module is assessed through an Initial planning documentation, a final report and a Poster presentation and project demonstration.
