Module Aims
Aim 1
Enable students to produce, or be involved in the production of, work relating to their chosen discipline.
Aim 2
Allow students to gain experience practising their chosen craft.
Aim 3
Increase employment opportunities, industry contacts, life skills and craft skills relevant to the work place.
Module Content
The student will undertake work with client in an appropriate field. The student will produce, or be involved in the production of work relating to their chosen discipline.
For example, scripts for production, film or video for exhibition, broadcast or webcast, photographs for public exhibition or distribution.
The work will be undertaken in consultation and with the agreement of the client. The student will gain experience of practising their chosen discipline
In addition to work produced for the client the module will involve a component of self assessment, comprising of a journal and an essay.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module, a student will be able to:
Teaching Methods
Supervised practice acquisition and group work within a workplace scenario.
Undertaking specified craft work for a client will lead to skill acquisition and increased employability.
Work that students produce can include scripts for production, film or video for exhibition, broadcast or webcast, photographs for public exhibition or distribution.
These practical projects will then be assessed.
The assessment strategy also involves the assessment of a reflective essay on the working experience.
There will be opportunities for formative feedback.

This module is assessed through a Reflective essay on the working experience and a Practical Project.
