UCLan Cyprus based PhD student Rafaella Maria Lakeridou won the Best Poster Presentation with Research Abstract Award at the 8th European Conference on Social Media (ECSM2021). In this category, PhD students of Digital and Traditional Media had the chance to present their research topics through a Poster Presentation and an Abstract. Winners were selected through a voting process.
Throughout her presentation entitled “A Graphic Design Framework for Outdoor Advertising to Raise Social Awareness”, Rafaella presented her PhD topic together with its Research Context, Methodology, Implications to Theory/Practice and expected outcomes.
The European Conference on Social Media was established 9 years ago in Brighton and has subsequently been held in Portugal, France, Lithuania and Ireland. This year, due to COVID-19, the conference took place online and it was hosted by UCLan Cyprus. The conference has attracted participants from more than 40 countries and been attended by a combination of academic scholars, public sector workers, practitioners and individuals who are engaged in various aspects of the social media industry.
