Course on “Rule of Law Due Diligence and Sustainable Justice”
The School of Law of UCLan Cyprus is pleased to announce the intensive course on Rule of Law Due Diligence and Sustainable Justice in the CRoLEV Intensive Course Series entitled “The Rule of Law and European Values in the modern ages”.
This 10-hour blended delivery course looks at the fields of corporate governance and dispute resolution to educate students in two specialist aspects: due diligence as applied to the rule of law and sustainable development as applied to justice/dispute resolution.
The course will cover the following themes:
• What are environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues and how ESG interplays with directors’ duties.
• The Duty of Company Directors to Consider ESG Factors: the UK and EU Perspective – Key Challenges.
• The impact of ESG.
• Introduction to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Methods; Litigation.
• Mediation and Arbitration.
• ADR Methods vs Litigation.
This course is relevant for any advanced student or professional interested in corporate governance, specifically due diligence as applied to the rule of law and sustainable development as applied to justice/dispute resolution.
UCLan Cyprus, through its Law School, is an accredited provider of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes under the relevant Cyprus Bar Association scheme. This Course is designed for the continuous professional development (CPD) of young and other professionals in Cyprus and internationally. 5 CPD points will be available for each day of participation (10 CPD hours in total).
The course will be delivered in in the English language at an intermediate-to-advanced level.
