With the support of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) Research Services, the School of Law of UCLan Cyprus is pleased to announce its inaugural PGR conference 2019 which will take place on Friday 21st June 2019.
The theme of the conference, ‘Current Legal Challenges and Innovation’, aims to create a forum of contemporary legal discussions by bringing together postgraduate research students and early career scholars from various domestic and international legal backgrounds with a focus on legal and related studies. The conference aims to enhance students’ learning experiences by providing them with the opportunity to develop their presentation skills, showcase their research and receive feedback from both fellow postgraduate research students and academic specialists. During the event, PGR students will also have the opportunity to attend various plenary sessions on career development and publishing as well as sessions on how to prepare for the viva.

Posters will be displayed during lunchtime.
Successful applicants will be notified via email by Monday 22nd April 2019. All participants should submit the final version of their poster/paper presentation by Friday 31st May 2019.
Paper and poster awards
The best paper presentation will be awarded the amount of €200. The selection of the best paper will be determined by the organising committee (comprised of UCLan Cyprus PGR students) in collaboration with the Project Leaders.
The best poster presentation will be awarded the amount of €100. The selection of the best poster will be determined by a voting process, in which the audience will be asked to participate through the completion of a feedback quiz.
