UCLan Cyprus proudly donated the amount of €219 to the first charity – voluntary association of footballers, ‘Goal In Life’.The amount was gathered by the UCLan Cyprus staff and its’ Assistant Professor in Sports Business Management Dr Christos Anagnostopoulos, who ran the 10k Marathon at the Larnaka International Marathon. Dr Anagnostopoulos voluntarily donated €2 for every minute he ran on the 19th of November.

Goal in Life’s vision is becoming one with the society of Cyprus and through its’ actions to cultivate principles and values such as charity, solidarity, social responsibility and social distribution.

One of the Founding Members of ‘Goal In Life’ and professional footballer of Enosis Neon Paralimniou, Koullis Pavlou,  has visited the University and collected the funds raised by UCLan Cyprus. ‘A simple thank you is not enough to express our gratitude for helping us reach our GOAL’ was some of the words that came out of Koullis Pavlou mouth.

The British University of Cyprus is really proud to be engaging with ‘Goal In Life’ and aims to build more synergies with this  kind of organizations.
