UCLan Cyprus receives ECPU license

UCLan Cyprus

License agreement from the Evaluation Committee of Private Universities (ECPU) Cyprus

We are pleased to announce that the Ministry of Education and Culture has granted an initial license of operation to the University of Central Lancashire, Cyprus (UCLan Cyprus), to commence full operations.

This is an excellent achievement for the University which enables UCLan Cyprus to enrol Cypriot and international students onto all of its courses, and welcome its first cohort in October.

Construction of the UCLan Cyprus campus began in February and the project team from Cyprus and the UK have worked to a challenging schedule to complete the University’s first building on its 40 acre campus, situated in Pyla, Larnaka. The purpose built 7,000 m2 University building will be ready to receive around 500 students on 2nd October 2012. The campus will be open for tours by prospective students from 22nd August 2012.

Rector for the University, Lee Chatfield said “this is indeed a momentous occasion for the University. We have created a modern, international university in Larnaka. October will be a very special time for our first cohort of students, and I look forward to welcoming them to their new campus and the beginning of their University education.”

Details of all approved programmes to be delivered at UCLan Cyprus are featured on the ECPU website and atwww.uclancyprus.ac.cy.
