The head of the Welding School of VITEC AS Mr Geier Ulvin is now in Cyprus directing the training program of the students at the Kassinis Energy School. UCLan Cyprus is now proud to present the Norwegian education model for Oil and Gas technicians in Cyprus at the IPS.

Andreas Synesiou, Managing Director of Veritech and Director of IPS, is particularly proud to welcome VITEC AS and Mr Ulvin to UCLAN. “Mr Ulvin is excited to be in Cyprus to take part in the training of the technicians for the developing Oil and Gas industry of Cyprus. He is especially impressed by the facilities at the laboratories of IPS. He is also very impressed by the 40 plus students in the Welding School at IPS and their hunger to learn”, Mr Synesiou said.

VITEC does examination of welding tests in cooperation with Teknologisk Institutt who issues the certificates. VITEC is also approved to do training and examination for International Welders. Its experienced welding teachers have in addition to their profession as welders, also recorded diplomas as International Welding Inspector (IWI-S).  The welders trained and certified with the international certification provided from Norway from the Technologisk Institutt will be able to work anywhere in the world that may choose.
