During March 2022, our BA Business Administration Students, had the opportunity to be certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI)® in Global Strategies. This initiative was led by Dr Panayiotis Kontakos, Assistant Professor in International Business, as part of our program modules for year 3 students. Globalization is a double-edged sword. Global firms benefit from a larger market, scale- and location-based cost efficiencies, and exposure to a multiplicity of new product and process ideas. However, globalization also exposes firms to numerous challenges resulting from a dramatic increase in diversity, complexity, and uncertainty. This course aimed at helping our students acting as managers and learn how to maximize the benefits while minimizing the costs and risks associated with global expansion. Congratulations to all our students who successfully completed this online certification!
