Speaker: Dr. Savvas Trichas
In our today’s fast moving and highly competitive business environment everyone communicates but only a few people connect. When people truly connect, every moment they spend with others, they can make it valuable, and if they are leading a business, they can make it profitable. This seminar introduces 3 essential skills for leaders.
ATTENTION 18:00 – 18:20
Based on the notion that attention shapes our reality, this seminar is going to discuss why attention matters for leaders, the importance of avoiding split attention effects, brain research on our attention span, and the neurochemistry of storytelling.
BODY LANGUAGE 18:20-18:55
People often pay exclusive attention to their verbal communication, but they shouldn’t really be doing that. Beyond words, life is a fascinating world of body language. In this part of the seminar we are going to introduce practical science-based nonverbal tools people can use to increase the way they interact with others in their personal and professional lives. Specifically, we will talk about conscious; differentiation of body posture and the influence it has on others’ perceptions; hand gesture management to enhance our message; voice tricks that can help us captivate our respective audience; touching behaviour within the workplace; the strategic use of proxemics; and the power of decoding others’ micro-facial expressions.
DECEPTION DETECTION 18:55 – 19:15
In this final part of the seminar we are going to discuss the truth about lies. Specifically, we are going to talk about fundamental principles of modern deception detection. Implications are discussed in the context of business and leadership.
Q&A SESSION 19:15 – 19:30
This seminar is open to the public.
