Μνημόνιο Συναντίληψης υπεγράφη μεταξύ του Πανεπιστημίου UCLan Cyprus και της Base Element στις 31 Οκτωβρίου στο Πανεπιστήμιο UCLan Cyprus.
To μνημόνιο παρέχει το πλαίσιο για την συνεργασία μεταξύ του Πανεπιστημίου UCLan Cyprus και της Base Element για την προώθηση δράσεων κοινού ενδιαφέροντος όπως για παράδειγμα διοργάνωση κοινών εκδηλώσεων και σεμιναρίων, αναβάθμιση της διδακτέας ύλης και των σχετικών προγραμμάτων σπουδών του πανεπιστημίου, πρακτική εξάσκηση και τοποθέτηση φοιτητών, εμπλοκή σε έργα κοινού ερευνητικού ενδιαφέροντος κλπ. Ο ευρύς στόχος αυτής της συνεργασίας είναι να επιτρέψει τη διάδοση τεχνογνωσίας μεταξύ των συμβαλλόμενων μερών προκειμένου να προωθηθούν καινοτομίες στους τομείς των: Web Design, Web Development, UX/UI Design, Digital Marketing κλπ.
Εκ μέρους του Πανεπιστημίου UCLan Cyprus το Μνημόνιο υπέγραψε η Καθηγήτρια Ειρήνη Πολυκάρπου, Πρύτανης του Πανεπιστημίου UCLan Cyprus, και εκ μέρους της Base Element ο κ. Γιώργος Ιακώβου, Director της Base Element.
Η Πρύτανης του Πανεπιστημίου UCLan Cyprus, καθ. Ειρήνη Πολυκάρπου δήλωσε με αφορμή τη συνεργασία:
«Το Πανεπιστήμιο UCLan Cyprus χαιρετίζει αυτή τη πρωτοβουλία καθώς το μνημόνιο συνεργασίας με τη Base Element, θα προσφέρει καινούργιες ευκαιρίες για εμβάθυνση και επέκταση της συνεργασία των δύο οργανισμών στους τομείς της εκπαίδευσης, κατάρτισης, έρευνας, καινοτομίας όπως και σε άλλες δράσεις. Η συνεργασία των δύο οργανισμών θέτει τις βάσεις για τη δημιουργία καινοτόμων ενεργειών και αναμένεται να ενισχύσει και ενδυναμώσει τις υφιστάμενες τους ενέργειες και έργα».
Ο Δρ. Καρπασίτης, Υπεύθυνος του προγράμματος BSc (Hons) Web Design and Development σχολίασε επίσης:
«Στόχος μας είναι να οικοδομήσουμε μια ισχυρή και ευρεία εταιρική σχέση με την Base Element διερευνώντας παράλληλα όλες τις ευκαιρίες που έχει να προσφέρει αυτή η συνεργασία και στα δύο μέρη. Συνεργασίες όπως αυτή, αποτελούν μέρος των συνεχών προσπαθειών μας για την εξέλιξη των προγραμμάτων σπουδών μας που σχετίζονται με τα Ψηφιακά Μέσα όπως το BSc (Hons) Web Design & Development και το BSc (Hons) Media Production, αυξάνοντας παράλληλα τη τριβή των φοιτητών μας με τον κλάδο και την αγορά.»
Ενόψει της συνεργασίας o κ Ιακώβου σχολίασε:
«Σήμερα εισερχόμαστε σε μια σημαντική συνεργασία που είναι πλήρως συνυφασμένη με τη δέσμευσή μας να βοηθήσουμε στη δημιουργία τοπικών οικοσυστημάτων για ανάπτυξη». ανέφερε ο κ. Ιακώβου. «Είναι μια εξαιρετική ευκαιρία και για τους δύο οργανισμούς να ανταλλάξουν τεχνογνωσία, εξειδίκευση και εμπειρίες και να τροφοδοτήσουν τη σπίθα της καινοτομίας και της επιχειρηματικότητας στους ηγέτες του αύριο»
Memorandum of Understanding between UCLan Cyprus and Base Element
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between UCLan Cyprus and Base Element on the 31 of October at the UCLan Cyprus premises.
The Memorandum provides the framework for cooperation between UCLan Cyprus and Base Element for the promotion of activities of common interest, such as the organization of joint events and seminars, enhancement of the University’s curriculum and related study programs, internships and placement of students, involvement in projects of common research interest, etc.
The broad objective of this collaboration is to allow the dissemination of know-how between the two parties to promote innovations in the fields of: Web Design, Web Development, UX/UI Design, Digital Marketing, etc.
On behalf of the British University of Cyprus, the Memorandum was signed by Professor Irene Polycarpou, Rector of UCLan Cyprus, and on behalf of Base Element by Mr George Iacovou, Director of Base Element.
Prof. Irene Polycarpou commented on this cooperation:
“UCLan Cyprus University welcomes this initiative as the memorandum of understanding with Base Element will offer new opportunities for enchasing and expanding the cooperation of the two organizations in the fields of education, training, research, innovation as well as in other activities. The cooperation of the two organizations lays the foundations for the creation of innovative initiatives and is expected to reinforce and strengthen existing actions and projects”.
Dr Karpasitis, Course Leader of BSc (Hons) Web Design & Development also commented:
“Our goal is to build a strong partnership with Base Element that is broad and deep, and to jointly explore all the opportunities that this collaboration has to offer to both parties. Collaborations like this one, are part of our ongoing efforts to evolve our Digital Media related programmes of study such as our BSc (Hons) Web Design & Development and BSc (Hons) Media Production, while also increasing the engagement of our students with the industry.”
In view of the cooperation Mr Iacovou stated:
“Today we are entering an important collaboration which is fully in line with our commitment to help create local ecosystems for growth.” mentioned Mr. Iacovou. “It is a fantastic opportunity for both organisations to exchange knowhow, expertise and experiences and fuel the spark of innovation and entrepreneurship to the leaders of tomorrow”
