On the 1st March 2018, the School of Law of UCLan Cyprus had the pleasure of hosting Ms. Barbara Weiler, former MEP
She spoke to our graduate and undergraduate students on the protection of social and economic rights in times of crisis within the framework of European Union Law and gave the students a taste of how the European Parliament functions. This theme was developed in the form of two lectures and a round-table. Ms. Weiler came to our university through the project ‘MEP to Campus.’ This was a very fruitful experience for the School and its students.
The School of Law of UCLan Cyprus would like to thank Ms. Weiler for accepting our invitation and giving us such important and thought-provoking information. We would also like to thank our students for participating so eagerly in this activity.
