Peace Players International (PPI) – Uniting communities through sport

Dear Students,

Based on the premises of UCLan Cyprus, Peace Players will be organising sport activities and leadership sessions for students aged between16-18.

Who are Peace Players?
Peace Players International (PPI) is a non-governmental organization which delivers all year round sports activities to help bring youth of all backgrounds, together. Founded in 2001 by brothers Sean and Brendan Tuohey, PPI uses basketball alongside a ground breaking leadership development curriculum to unite, educate and inspire young people to create a more peaceful world. It currently operates year-round programs in South Africa, Northern Ireland, Israel and the West Bank,
and Cyprus.

What’s in it for me?
Throughout the year you will get the chance to play basketball within your own community here at UCLan Cyprus- learning about teamwork, tolerance and trust. It will help you understand diversity and form relationships with individuals from different backgrounds. Aside from this, we will be offering you sessions to help develop your leadership skills such as influencing, team building, and confidence building.

Come and join us
at our first session on Dec 10th 2015
Time: 13:00, Place: CY114, UCLan Cyprus
